SIMULATION — NOT A LIVE EMERGENCY SERVICEIn a real emergency in Nigeria, call 112.

Privacy

Your information, plainly explained

Written for the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

What we collect

When you report: the emergency type, your location (GPS fix or postcode), any words, voice recording transcript or photo you choose to send, and your phone number if you give it.

When you text or WhatsApp us: your number and message. When operators sign in: their name, email, organisation and actions in the console.

Why we use it

To find you, pass your report to a human dispatcher, send you status updates, and keep an audit trail of every decision. Our lawful basis is your vital interests and your consent when you choose to report.

Who can see it

Only approved operators handling your case. Phone numbers are masked in message logs. Tracking pages show status only — never your coordinates or crew details. Photos are private and opened through short-lived links.

How long we keep it

Tracking links expire after 3 days. Incident records and audit logs are kept for operational review and then deleted or anonymised. Saved home postcodes can be removed any time on request through our contact page.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to its use, through our contact page. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

Service providers

We use trusted processors for hosting, text/WhatsApp delivery, maps and speech-to-text. They process data only on our instructions.

Demonstration service

RescueCode NG is a demonstration and is not endorsed by NIPOST or any government agency. For real emergencies call 112.
